failinglife
First and foremost, Thank you to anyone who responds to this thread and attempts to push me in the right direction your time is greatly appreciated. I am trying to get OSX working on my rig Asus M3N78 PRO Chipset: NVIDIA GeForce 8300 Southbridge: ID057C AMD Phenom X4 9500 8 Gig of DDR2 ram Unganged 3 SATA harddrives. By going through sites like this I have managed to get iDeneb v 1.5.1_OSX86 v10.5.7 to properly install to one of hard drives. this install included Chemeleon rc2 When I go to boot up OSX hangs on the spinning gear -v gets as far as localhost configd [35] interfacenamer: no network interfaces, could not update platform UUID I have tried looking through posts but a lot of them seem outdated by at least a year. My first question would be, is it still not possible for this rig to run OSX? Secondly, Am I going about this the correct way? Is i Deneb my best solution? or is it possible for me to use the new Chameleon RC4 and install a retail disk? Third, Is snow leopard a possibility? Honestly I have gotten this far and now I feel a little overwhelmed so I decided to come ask for any help from anyone with a similar setup. If this not possible on my rig I apologize for any time wasted on your end. Thanks guys I await your responses Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203551-need-some-guidance-on-setting-up-first-osx86-system/ Share on other sites
