wml Posted December 22, 2009 Share Posted December 22, 2009 Hi, i have the same KP on my IPC 10.5.6 install but only this happen when i try install dmg file, this happen today when i try install firefox so i been all afternoon look for a solution and i think that is a kext problem but not sure like you have this one seatbelt.kext from 10.5.6 but the kernel is 9.5.0 so you need the seatbelt.kext from 10.5.5, this post is for this problem http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=148566 but them maybe this is not your problem but still mine because i can't download that file, maybe some one help me. If it boots, delete VoodooHDA.kext, as that's what's causing the panic (clearly visible in your screenshot). Remember to flush the caches as well. Look up how to disable the on-board audio there. If you don't have a manual, you can download a .pdf copy from the manufacturer's website. Beerkex'd Posted December 26, 2009 Share Posted December 26, 2009 You're very close, it's almost done booting at that point. Try booting with -v -x (-x is like 'safe mode' in Windows) and see if it goes any further. If it arrives at the desktop then it's probably something with the video drivers or the injection that isn't working.
