Cindori
I would like to clone my successful install to another drive (SSD), But I cant get it bootable. I used Carbon Copy Cloner and moved my whole system, then I used DD's script to install PC-EFI 10.5 on the new drive. But when I try to boot the drive from BIOS I only get a blinking _ However if I boot from my old drive, I can select the SSD in the old drives PC-EFI bootloader and sucessfully boot from it. what am I doing wrong? Why cant I boot from the drive directly? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203456-clone-install-disk/ Share on other sites
SticMAC™
You have to make the partition active, Boot from the original install and do it in Terminal SticMAC Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203456-clone-install-disk/#findComment-1366412 Share on other sites

Spatz
DD Script means only the partition. (dd if=boot1h of=/dev/rdisk....) But you also need a bootloader. (fdisk -u -f boot0 -y /dev/rdisk....) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203456-clone-install-disk/#findComment-1366840 Share on other sites
