fliegzeuger
Hello, as you can obviously read in the heading I'm trying to install OSX 10.6.0 on my PC. The specs are: E8400, Gigabyte EP45-DS3, 4GB DDR2 @ 800MHz, MSI HD4850 512MB, separate 1TB HD (Windows Drive is disconnected). I did try several different installation guides including this one: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...topic=%20180954 I used the Boot 132 Method described there. My PC boots into the Chameleon boot loader and I'm also able to boot my Retail Snow Leopard DVD. The Apple and rotating wheel appear. After a while both disappear and all I can see is the grey screen. After that I get some strange black artifacts on the grey screen which disappear too. I've been waiting hours but there's nothing but the grey screen. Sometimes the DVD-Drive starts working or seems to do. I don't now what's the matter and would really be happy if you gave me some advice. Thank you so much. Merry christmas and a happy new year Sebastian Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203264-help-vanilla-retail-snow-leopard-on-ep45-ds3/ Share on other sites
fliegzeuger
I did succeed in at least installing SL on my PC: Installed Kalyway 10.5.2 and installed SL out of it using the OSInstall.mpkg method. That worked for me but I get a KP when booting this volume. What KEXTS would you suggest for the EP-45-DS3?
