Neko Neko
Hello First post here. I've managed to get osx leopard 10.5.2 installed on my laptop. specs are Toshiba sattelite pro a120 Intel core 2 duo 1.83 2GB RAM Motherboard = Unknown Installed osx via kalyway 10.5.2 Chameleon 2 RC4 installed The problem is osx is only seeing one core of core 2 duo in the about this mac and in system profiler. I've searched and done this to help solve it. Installed Chameleon 2 RC4 Installed CPUinjector.kext edited com.apple.Boot.plist kernel flag to cpus=2 Without any of the above done the about this mac box & system profiler stated the CPU as intel core solo 1.83. After installing chameleon 2 RC4 the about this mac & system profiler shows 1.83 GHz unknown. I'm a newbie to hacking osx so please bare with me if I don't understand. I'm trying. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Gray Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203225-cpu-not-recognised-properly-only-one-core-1052/ Share on other sites

Lord_Jeremy
You might try using a Voodoo kernel. AFAIK most if not all of the Core 2 Duos are vanilla supported but it might help. Also, I'd check my boot.plist (/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist) to see if you're accidentally booting with cpus=1. There also could be settings in your BIOS that limit the number of CPUs.
