I have installed iDeneb V1.6 Lite, and upon boot, the PC Freezes. The Apple logo is displayed, but caps lock and other functions are unresponsive.

I had to take a wild guess at what drivers to install, which I could have spent a little more time with, but there are so many out there, I would still be lost in a few days time. I am almost certain that this is the cause, but just incase, my specs are below. If anyone could be kind enough to let me know which drivers would work, and if there is any chance that one or many components are unsupported, I would greatly appreciate it.

Processor: AMD Phenom II 940 (3.0Ghz [stock])

Motherboard: MSI K9A2 Platinum (AMD 790FX Chipset)

Networking: Realtek RTL8168/8111 Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)

Graphics: One HD4870 (1Gb) and one HD4870 (512Mb) in Crossfire. I think this may be the problem.

Sound: Realtek ALC888/1200 @ ATI SB600 - High Definition Audio Controller

I would be so greatful if anybody at all could shed some light on this.

Thanks :)

When I boot with -x, there are about 10 pages of writing flashing very quickly, then black screen and it freezes. And the writing is way to fast to see what is on it. I would film it but I don't have a camera with me.

If I was to do a fresh install, what packages would you recommend I install?

Okay thanks. The DVD is being really annoying. Sometimes it boots, sometimes it doesn't. Last time it froze on the apple screen. Don't suppose you have any idea why that's happening do you?

Ok, got the DVD to boot but it freezes straight away again..

It seems to me that when i load the DVD in windows, it sees it as a blank DVD but if I open then close the DVD drive, it sees the osx install disk. Then if I restart the pc, it will be able to boot into the DVD. If it fails and I try to do it again, I won't be able to unless I go into windows to show it that it's there again.

I would but I'm all out. I'll have to go and get some tomorrow. Thanks for your help so far. I'll report back tomorrow. :(

Edit: Found one, still freezing on loading the DVD. I'm going to try it with just the DVD drive in, then if not, I'm out of ideas.

Update: Tried it with only DVD drive in, same thing is happening. All i can think of now is that it's the discs. The little swirly /-/ thing goes around, then a grey screen with a darker apple logo comes up. The DVD drive activity light isn't doing anything and when I installed it last time there was a grey icon below the apple logo swirling around. I'll try with a new DVD tomorrow.

Update2: Okay, so I have finally booted back into windows as crcdisk.sys was preventing me getting back. I took 2GB of ram out, and it booted into Vista. I am still to get back into the OSX DVD. This is getting weird now, I couldnt boot into the Vista disk either, as it either froze, or just restarted just like the OSX disk did.. Hmm..
