evilspell Posted June 23, 2006 Share Posted June 23, 2006 Okay so i've seen screen shots of people getting the areo glass effects to work in Vista Beta 2 build 5384 on a macbook but i'm having a hard time getting this to work on my mac mini. I upgraded my Ram to 2gig's because i saw that you need at least 1 gig to run areo. I also tried loading the Intel Lakeport drivers manually with no sucess they actually don't work at all and i have to go back to the standard VGA drivers and then put back the Mac Intel drivers. It looks like a lot of people are trying to do this but no one has really come up with a guide on what they have done to get Areo to work. Has anyone actually got Areo to work on a mac mini? I get Aero on my GMA 900 hackintosh and the Mini has GMA 950. evilspell, do you already have XP installed? Also, what is your monitor's resolution? You're not going to get Aero with a resolution that big. With 64 MB of VRAM, Aero will only work on resolutions of up to 1280x1024.
