stoked218
I'm trying to use easyBCD, i also have MacDrives installed so i can look through the filesystem on my mac drive. I currently have Mac OSX 10.5 install on a seperate harddrive than my vista operating system. This is how it reads: Entry #1 Name: Microsoft Windows Vista BCD ID: {current} Drive: C:\ Bootloader Path: \Windows\system32\winload.exe Windows Directory: \Windows Entry #2 Name: NST Mac OS X BCD ID: {71509e90-ea92-11de-8d28-005056c00008} Drive: E:\ Bootloader Path: \NST\nst_mac.mbr now i'm fairly computer literate, though i'm just now trying out Mac OSX so i do not know what the proper Bootloader path is for this install. The reason i say that is, in my file structure on the Macdrive that directory doesn't exist. When i try booting it up anyways BCD gives me the same error. How can I change this and what is the main 'executable' for the Mac OSX operating system?? Delete the existing entry for Mac OS X and make another One "Mac OS X" of type "Generic x86 PC" and then click Add then Save. Then check C:\ through my computer. If the folder "NST" is there with the file "nst_mac.mbr" inside it, then install iReboot (from same company, its free. Google for it) and it will allow you to switch OS'es from the Windows Taskbar. That should let you boot into Chameleon. I had the same problem, assuming I point EasyBCD to the Mac Partition won't work. EDIT: If it still won't work but the NST folder with the file inside it is on C:\ copy it to the root of the Macintosh HD drive. Try that. cocotutch Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/202871-iatkos-v7-and-easybcd/#findComment-1362638 Share on other sites
stoked218
hey, it's all putting me right back to where i was previously. Boot1: error. I really do appreciate the help so far. I've tried setting the partition to active with fdisk but it's still giving me the same error. EDIT: OK i got past that now, it starts to load and freezes. so i ran it a second time, now it says: Panic(cpu(3)) Cpu(s) not responding to interrupts. Then it halts and freezes. any ideas? cocotutch
You could try the "cpus=1" boot flag inside the Chameleon GUI. It sounds like you have a Multi-Core Processor, like Core 2 Quad or i7 or even i5. Things tend to happen and MAYBE that will work, I really don't know. It's just a guess. You could always try. cocotutch Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/202871-iatkos-v7-and-easybcd/#findComment-1362708 Share on other sites
