czpcgk
Right now I have Leopard 10.5.6 and I'm wanting to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.2. What additional hardware-specific steps will I have to take to make sure every component works with it? My specifications are as follows (and in sig): Modified Dell Dimension 9200: Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz 4 GB DDR2 RAM Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 Intel P965 Motherboard Intel 82566DC Gigabit Network Card Sigmatel STAC 9227 Sound Card Snow Leopard will be installed alongside Windows 7 on a 250 GB drive, hopefully the Chameleon loader won't give me the errors every time I have my monitor's USB hub plugged in (right now I'm using Win7's boring bootloader). I would also appreciate a general guide to installing SnowLeo, as there seems to be more to it then using a pre-created distro and installing that. My 10.5.6 Leopard is working perfectly fine right now, so I COULD do the upgrade thing, right? (Hopefully that would also fix my insanely long boot time ( >1 minute to boot, probably because of NTFS-3G)) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/202818-osx86-install-hardware-specific-steps/ Share on other sites
