mrquacker
I have a Lifehacker setup going, and while sound works I do have a minor issue with it. In the "Sound" preference panel I have 4 choices , Internal speakers, Line out, Line out, Digital out. I have a 5.1 speaker setup, with 3 plugs that are supposed to go into the sound outputs. Rear, forward, bass/center. Because of the way the preference panel has set up sound output, only one plug works at a time. So only 2 speakers out of the 6 work right now. In order to fix this, I have to merge the Internal speakers, Line out, and Line out, into one. So how can I get this to work? Any ideas? I thought of using a headphone jack splitter from Radio Shack to split the one jack into two. But there has to be some software fix that would take care of the issue at the cause? Thanks, --M Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/202567-ep45-ud3p-multiple-sound-outputs/ Share on other sites
mrquacker
Just an update here. Couldn't find a software solution, so I went the hardware way. I bought a 3-way headphone jack splitter from Radio Shack ($9), and got all 6 speakers to work right. So for anyone else looking for a solution to an issue like this; this proved the fastest/easiest fix.
