Papester Posted December 15, 2009 Share Posted December 15, 2009 So i dont really know where this is supposed to go so if its in the wrong place someone move it please, Im new to the whole OSx86 thing and ive been looking to switch over to a mac for a while, so i have followed a billion and five tutorials and all that and they all lead to my one problem, booting from cd. i have the iPC OSx86 10.5.6 final on a disk and all that. so i need help i have 2 computers and i would prefer it to be on my desktop. its dvd drive is old though and wont support dvd-r but my laptop does, so i go through the bios and select my dvd-ram drive to boot first, it blinks a little line for a while and just starts up xp again, what do i need to do? i have my hard drive all partitioned and stufff, hellp thanks brady Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/202514-boot-problems/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
