Catevs
I reinstalled 10.6 and updated to 10.6.2 with combo update, but problem with screen capture is still here. Maybe there is problem with gfx drivers? I'm using patched dsdt for my 8500GT. gfx has QE/CI bicause xbench give me score 180 for OpenGL tests
Catevs
Ups, signature is now updated. I thing QE/CI is working bicause if I run xbench I get 180 score for gfx. Looked at xbench site and that is good result. When I get home from work I'll try to do that and give feedback
Catevs
I dont know what I did but now I can make screen shots. Strange, only thing I did was put LegacyHDA.kext to /E/E folder. Hmmm... <img src="http://img.skitch.com/20091217-q7aduu2tynp6a649hp627b5ap5.jpg" alt="Screen shot 2009-12-17 at 9.53.19 PM"/>

Koplimi
I am having the same problem as you have/had. I can't take screenshots or open any image in Preview. I have absolutely NO idea what's wrong.
taney
I have the same problem as everyone else here. glad i wasn't the only one. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=207200 I now believe that it's gfx kext related because there's no support for ati 57xx series yet. Well I think you're right about it being related to the Graphics Card. I use a Ati 3870 (which isn't really supported in SL). To get it to work I had to delete the ATIRadeonX2000.kext and replace the boot-file in the chameleon bootdriver with a PC EFI replacement and then load a bios rom using the command -useatirom at startup. Not exactly a clean way of doing things. And I'm still lacking qe/ci.
dtrider
Well I think you're right about it being related to the Graphics Card. I had this problem. After properly setting up my video card/installing it was fixed. No trouble now, preview and screenshots work.
