Error when booting from retail DVD

Hey,

 

I have a problem that when I am trying to install OSX Leopard 10.5.5 using a retail DVD and Darwin (grub-dfe.iso) on my Acer Aspire M3600 desktop machine.

The problem error out as "block 16232536" and something about 64 something-something. I get past this error, but it only shows the apple logo on the white background, with no loader and half of the screen is grey.

 

The specs on the machine is:

Processor: Intel E4400 Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz

Chipset: Intel 945GZ Express

Installed Memory: 2 GB (DDR2 SDRAM)

And Windows 7 64-bit OS

 

Is it because I have a 64-bit version of Windows installed on the machine, that it cannot install Leopard?
