All my music files have ratings inside of them, but I haven't found a single audioplayer which actually reads them.

I can't use iTunes because it copies my musicfiles into it's internal structure and therefore destroys mine.

Does anyone have a clue what I can do?

You can still use iTunes. Just go into the preferences and unchecked the "allow iTunes to manage my music" option. This will force iTunes to use your existing library setup and not rearrange you stuff. Just be sure to do this before importing your music.

Yeah I saw it by now.

Now there is just one problem left.

iTunes doesn't read the ratings inside the mp3-files.

Do you have an idea how to achieve this?

From what I've read, it appears to be very difficult or impossible to get iTunes to read ratings tags imbedded into mp3s. People gave some sugguestions on methods to easily go through and rerate them through iTunes, but it looks like iTunes records the rating differently and doesn't want to recognize the ID3 tag.
