-Jon
Hello! I have a couple of issues with it running on my pc, basicly I followed the dual boot guide using the Arconis Disk Director. My specs are 3.67ghz P4, 2gb ram, 6800 ultra. I have 2 hard drives, One is running just Windows and one is running Windows and OSX, basicly I followed the instructions to disable OS Selector and for some reason OSX and Windows hard drive works, I get the option to boot either and the one drive I haven't touched get's a HFS + Error. So I have to enable OS Selector in order to boot it up, any help would be appreciated. My other issue is with the performance of OSX, I installed the macvidia drivers and my graphics got regonised etc but it seems to do nothing, I'm guessing the overall performance is causing my problems. For example when I play a movie in quicktime, when I press pause it freezes, when I cross it off it freezes. My screensaver takes forever to load one of the images in a slide show and I'm unable to use any features in iLife because they freeze when they play video. Help me! Thanks in advance Jon Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/20205-couple-of-issues/ Share on other sites
kassette
Hey Jon, As far as using quicktime and iLife goes, I'm in the same situation with you (having spent ages in terminal getting all the MacVidia stuff loaded in) only to find that iLife and video playback stil don't work correctly. What I've found is the reason for this is that the Mac OS uses to technologies for video playback and the likes called Quartz Extreme and Core Image, which very unfortunatly at this point in time nVidia drivers do not support But the guys at MacVidia are currently working on this situation, I just keep checking their website for updates to see when its coming through. I have read about patches and the likes to get it working now but it all seems like a load of bull and haven't seen any success!!! Hope that helps!
