seangibbz
How can I make a triple-boot system with Mac Snow Leopard, Windows 7, and Ubuntu 9.10. I already have Windows 7 on my system, and would prefer to keep my files/programs/settings. Could I make that partition smaller, then just add other partitions for OSX/Ubuntu? I also have a RECOVERY partition on my system; could that pose a problem? I have a method I made based off of other guides that I was thinking of trying, but I'm pretty sure there may be something wrong as I haven't actually done this before. I'd like to use the Chameleon (RC4) BootLoader, which is a nice looking loader, as well as it will be able to keep my RECOVERY partition from showing up on the boot menu. I have an ubuntu disc, as well as a snow leopard disc. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/202008-triple-boot-help/ Share on other sites
seangibbz
This seems obvious to me, and am surprised that it is not to so many others. Make sure you have a backup to an external drive or multiple CD/DVD's using something like ghost. That way if something goes wrong and you hose your Windows 7, you have not lost your programs, files & settings I intend to backup my Windows partition as an image on an external drive, just in case I know better than to take something like this on with no insurance as to the safekeeping of my files.
