mikedddd
Hello, all. Finally trying to move up to 10.6 after over a year of success at 10.5 with hackintoshes. I used the Lifehacker guide and installer package. Wow, that's easy. My stats: C2D 8500 4 gb/2dimm GAEP45UD3R Netgear GA311 PCIe USB/Firewire card. So, I make my bootable USB drive, install, boot from USB into my install, everything is beautiful except I have no ethernet. Yes, I turned it back on in the bios after the install. Self-assigned IP 169... Can't get it to do anything. Both onboard and the PCI card are recognized, they just won't connect. Any suggestions? Yes, I know lifehacker is designed for a slightly different motherboard and that could be the problem, but others have had success, so I am hopeful as it is very easy. I am using the v3 stella installer. Thanks for all the help from the community. If this fails, I'll be trying the guide specific for this motherboard, but it involves a bit more digging around in DSDT which I have been trying to avoid.
