When ever i try and download something i get a kernal panic. My Motherboard is a G31M-ES2L with a core 2 duo and 2gb of ram with 2 HDDs. Any ideas? :P

 

Hey, are you using snow leopard or leopard?

You need the seatbelt.kext. Is it a .dmg file your trying to mount?

I can't download it. Rapidshare is telling me that i need to be a premium member to download it. Which i dont want to become....

lol, Yes i have 9.5 kernal. i clicked the link to the seatbelt.kext download and this is what it tell me at rapidshare : ou want to download the following file: http://rapidshare.com/files/215747482/seatbelt_1055.zip | 87 KB

Actually This did not work. i dont know why! i am positive i have the 9.5 kernal. Could you post the 9.6 kernal?

So you did the uname -a in terminal & it said you had the 9.5 kernel, is that correct?

And what did you use to install the kext?

 

haha wtF? it says i have a 9.7.0 darwin kernal? that wasen't even an option on my install disk? Well can you post it on the forums so i can give it a try? Thanks you've been a lot of help. Sorr :( y

hmm the download worked this time but the kext still doesn't work. i installed using OSx86 installer. SO Frustrating.

 

 

 

EDIT: FIXED! Had to go into /system/Library/Extensions/ and delete SeatBelt950.kext and install the new one. Thanks for all your help.
