Hi there, I have a P55-GD65 with an i5 750.

I have flashed bios with the latest release, ACHI=eneabled.

I have Windows 7 on my primary HDD and currently have iDeneb Lite v1.6 installed on the secondary with chameleon v2 rc2.

My computer freezes when booting, I have never seen the desktop.

See screenshot:

I have also tried iATKOS v7 but the exact same thing happens.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

the "using xxx buffer headers..." error I fixed on a friends P55 board by adding ACPIPlatform.kext

you can try this one (no idea if its same one i used, found on thread regarding this issue on 10.5)

also try booting with cpus=1 to use only 1 core for troubleshooting (good practice with multicore cpu)

the usual delete extensions.mkext, repair permissions, reboot would apply

I have the same hardware and the same problem.  Is there somewhere I can go to read about how I can do something like "add ACPIPlatform.kext"?  I have read a lot of how to guides on installing OSx86, but it seems like all of them are grossly oversimplified and don't include any information on how to deal with issues when the install doesn't go smoothly.  I'm feeling frustrated right now; the only information I can find is either super oversimplified fluff or impossibly complex kext-speak that I can't find a simple English explanation for.  Thanks for any help!

installing kext files is not very complex and is part of the basics of hackintosh 101. i can relate to being frustrated with oversimplified 'fluff' but familiarity with kexts and how to edit or install them properly is crucial to any hackintosh build
