tuxy
After several weeks I get my PC working 100%. Here is my config: Mobo: Asus P5b premium Vista Edition GC: Gigabyte Radeon 4850 512 Mega DDR3 Ram: 4 Giga Corsair HD: 2x 500Giga For sound I use an USB dougle from Terratec (Aureon). This guide is intended for 32 bit only (I cannot get my ati 4850 work on 64 bit mode) ******************************************************************** 1) Burn this Iso 2) Set Bios to have AHCI enabled and disable ASAP. 3) Insert burned iso and reboot from CD 4) At prompt menu hit F5 type -x -v and press enter 5) At the end of installation you will get a failure message (do not worry!!!! ) 6) Reboot and one again type -x -v 7) Finish installation and before reboot install the graphic card with this 8) Reboot but this time type arch=i386 (to force kernel to boot in 32bit mode) 9) Now your GC should be ok so move on and install this package with kext utility 10) Reboot with arch=i386 and you should get working LAN (Now second lan working with this). 11) Now Install BootThink and before rebooting replace com.apple.Boot.plist with this 12) Enjoy Note: I forgot to mention that you need to patch your DSDT. I used this to patch it!!!! So you do not need to remove AppleHPET.kext anymore Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/201161-success-asus-p5b-premium-vista-editionati-radeon-4850/ Share on other sites

Jezz
Hi, when I boot up with that boot cd from your link, and place the SnowOSX iso, it sees it as APPLE_HFS, but when I try to boot from it it says "Can't find mach_kernel". Jezz
before booting type arch=i386 Thanks I will try that. If that doesn't work I just going to use the retail version instead of the distro.
