Uh. I'm not sure I understand exactly what your saying. You're saying you get some sort of error when you try to boot without the CD in the drive? And when it does boot the setup assistant always runs? Hmm. Have you tried reinstalling? For the first problem it sounds like your bootloader is incorrectly installed. What install disk did you use? I seem to remember an old version of Kalway had a problem where it wouldn't boot correctly if your drive name was more than one word.

My problem is. When i dont boot with kalaway 10.5.2 in my eeepc external drive. I get Boot0:error due to the 2nd partion. But if i have my CD in. The darwin bootloader comes up. And it boots my HDD. but i cant put any boot parlaments in or it'll boot off the cd. Also i get stuck at the do you already own mac.

 

Also can i get the bootloader to load windows. i did it before. i forgot how i did though. like i had to have the cd in though

What version of windows are you running? I had the same problem
