treeml Posted December 6, 2009 Share Posted December 6, 2009 Ok I realise that this topic has be brought up before in another thread, but I can't seem to get a definitive answer on the subject. Out of sheer desperation I am starting a new thread. This card, which has the atheros chipset, people have reported success with the atherosfix.kext. I however only seem to get a panic when I use this method, I know you can get it working with 32 bit mode, but we want to achieve the 64 bit promised land and this is unacceptable for me. I have also tried a plethora of different methods I have found scrounging around the forums and websites for the past three weeks. I am sure i am not the only one with this problem, a fully working system, except for wifi. The Dlink and Atheos cards are pretty common. Has anyone out there who is using a P55 i7850, gotten the Dlink 255 AKA atheros card working in 64 bit? matix Posted February 9, 2010 Share Posted February 9, 2010 BUMP So no one else has this problem? have this problem core i5 p55m ud4 dlink 552 - atheros fix causes kp (at desktop) and after first occurence, cant even get past verbose mode. I only tried this in 64 bit, and had to reformat to recover my system. Has anyone figured this one out yet?
