silverfish
Hi, I have a home lic for snow leopard and wanted to get rid of vista 64bit on my main pc and install OSx86. I was wondering if it is possible to install OSx86 on the following spec: Main board Asus K8N-DRE (nvidia nForce Pro 2200) Bios AMI 1004 (04/21/2006) PCI-Express x16(graphics) - Nvidia GeoForce 6800 2 x AMD Opteron Dual core 280(DP) 2.4ghz 90nm (940) (MMX, 3Dnow, SSE, SSE2, SSE3,x86-64 3gb DDR Ram 200mhz I have tried to load the image onto usb stick and boot of that but to no avail. There is just a mac sign in the middle of the screen. I used : http://lifehacker.com/5351485/how-to-build...start-to-finish So I was wondering if the opteron 280 is supported or is it an issue with memory etc.. Thank you in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/201072-osx86-on-opteron-280/ Share on other sites
rafafre
I'm pretty sure you can get it working with iAtkos v7 installer. But it's Leopard only. I'm afraid no Snow yet for these boards...
