si bonjour not working?

Hello All

 

I have a 17" MacBook Pro running SnowLeopard, and all latest updates..

 

I have recently purchased a 16GB iPhone 3GS, onto which I have installed several remote control apps for my mac. Such as the Apple Remote, Rowmote Pro and WiFiControl. None of which I can get my mac to see..

 

For example, itunes does not pick up Apple Remote, although the Rowmote client is running that wont connect, and WiFiControl cant see any PC's.

 

I don't have the firewall turned on currently, I am an admin user, I have tried port forwards on my hardware firewall - and disabled the firewall altogether..

 

I have a Windows XP machine which the Apple Remote works perfectly on (both on same lan)

 

Im wondering if the Bonjour service is somehow broken?

 

I have reinstalled iTunes, and made sure the relevant check boxes are ticked.. But so far - nothing!??

 

Please help! :S
