dekz Posted December 5, 2009 Share Posted December 5, 2009 Ive setup Logic 9 on 10.6.1 and got some problems with setting up my controller, if i shut down the controller my assigned controller commands wont work... nada. Im not sure if this is because of OSX, maybe some USB driver issue or if its Logic, if any of you are good with Logic (maybe im doing something wrong), or if you have some clue as to why its acting this way, let me know. ...everything works fine, i can quit Logic and restart it and everything works, but as soon as i shut down the controller and power it on again then all the assigned controls wont register in Logic (they are still in the Key command list) and if i assign it over again, it adds up a new identical controller message... macita Posted December 5, 2009 Share Posted December 5, 2009 I own a PCR-1 and i use it as main audio and controller with my Asrock conroe 1333 with renoise and milky tracker, i use it also with my macbook pro 2,5 and no problems at all! Did u installed last snow drivers? I didnt try it with logic pro v9 because in my mac pro 8 core is still running the 10.5.8 and i use my virus TI as controller. But im sure it wrks fine, just it wrks as controller with my renoise 2.1! Let me know! Let me know! nah, i think im pretty much done with OSX, at first it was the controller in logic wich messed up, then i tried to install the latest drivers for the controller to make sure it was the latest, reboot, pcr pops up in system profiler but not in midi setup, second, logic started crashing on garageband loops, i thought about removing garageband to clean it up, there is no uninstaller for it, what a joke, like im gonna run through the system and delete that with having logic with garageband content on it... i reinstalled the whole os again trying to install the working pcr drivers, still wont pop up in midi settings, that you actually have to pay for a half assed uninstaller on an operating system is beyond me, its mainly logic i was going to use for osx, dont care much for the rest of the operating system, i got everything i need on xp and its 10x faster, been nothing but trying to set up osx for the last 10 days, still dont feel i have anything to do on it, looks like a toy to me. was cool as long as it lasted tho. lol Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/200985-logic-9-controller-setup/#findComment-1351423 Share on other sites More sharing options...

Trust me just now back from a studio where iv found a controller like your and it wrks fine... dont think your usb are ok...iv changed from hack to real mac due to a friend who sold to me an 8 core mac pro for only 1400 €, USB and Virus TI driver hard to sync with hackintosh, and because i want make music not experiments. Anyway with win7 i think u can enjoy more your pc.... Anyway with win7 i think u can enjoy more your pc.... thats a joke macita, a pc guy, like its pc vs mac... why is it that every guy who enjoys mac instantly think its better than windows? I mean, before mac ran on intel one of theire biggest selling points and arguments was the power pc architecture, how stupid do you think Jobs felt when he stood on the developer conference to address "mac LOVERS" moving to the intel platform? and the ppl moved along with it , now they are like worshipping intel inviting them on every conference talking about how great macs are on intel. and allways the benchmark results on how macs are gazillion times more effecient than windows... now an uninstaller is simply an automated data removal tool wich should come either integrated with its installer or be a part of the operating system so that the user doesnt have to go through his system and hunt down files manually making a bigger issue than it actually is. we are not in the 80s compiling source here. i think the architecture is allready set. How about if they drop the Installers too? No installer, you have to do it manually, because its good! that is what computers are for, data management, manual data management. Actually, you have to compile it too, you are just left with the code from the publisher, you have to compile it and configure it for YOUR system. thats the best of both worlds. No installer, and forget about uninstallers. you have garageband wich comes up with some 20gb? 15000 files? wich you should track down with spotlight, cuz spotlight is such a great search tool it will find EVERYTHING for you, you actually dont need finder either, finder is just there for show, i mean, with its Flow, you have like folders flowing over the screen, you can watch your files in 3D! lmao, no man, OSX is a joke. and my usb ports are working fine in 7, XP, Vista, Ubuntu, humm, 10.5.2 works too, Logic 8... works fine, now i just think mac are for stupid people and they automatically think they bought something better than a pc because they paid more and that automatically makes it better, credits to Jobs n Apple tho. im sorry man. a 2nd hand laptop for 1400 euros...
