jasbo
I am having trouble installing Iatkos v7 on my machine. Ive spend hours researching my hardware and have had trouble finding useful information on my motherboard and video card. I have no trouble going through install but the computer freezes at the grey apple screen after. When i boot in single user mode or in verbose mode i do not receive any error messages. It just simply stops loading after the drivers complete. From what i understand, most of the P5Q mobo's need a bios mod. Unfortunate, the SE2 model is one of the few that does not have a modded BIOS. just my luck My instincts tell me that it has something to do with the video drivers, but what do i know otherwise id have this thing running. I know its not much to go on, but if anybody has any information on this hardware or any ideas as to what could be wrong with my install PLEASE let me know. MOBO: ASUS P5Q SE2 CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 Ghz RAM: 2x2Gb Corsair GPU: Nvidia GTX 280 oc 1024 cd/dvd and hdd are both sata Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/200932-iatkos-v7/ Share on other sites
