Steven Rushing
mb - asus p5evm hdmi Distro - SnowOSXInstall universal v 3.5 - snow leopard 10.6 gm (10a432) install disk compiled by dan1234 from TPB Basically it worked for a couple of months just fine. I pulled a stupid and decided to upgrade to 10.6.2. Didn't delete sleepenabler. Got the standard kp - kernel mismatch between cpu and whatever, don't remember exactly. Booted from my install disk, went into utilities/terminal, deleted sleepenabler, and nothing else. Now I get KP trap, type 14 - page fault. Driving me nuts. here is a screen shot: any help would be greatly appreciated and rewarded! Steven Rushing
Got some help last night in the irc channel... Not sure if it was right, or wrong, or I am just doing it wrong. Was told to delete the dsmos kext, and then replace my fmcfake kext with another that the guy helping linked to... I did as was instructed, and no change, by booting into the install dvd and using terminal to delete the dsmos kext and the fmcfake kext and then putting his new one in there... but I don't know how to update the kext caches from an install dvd terminal, and I think that might be what the issue is... Any thoughts? Or is this totally wrong from the start... AlanD
Aren't you supposed to replace sleepenabler.kext with netkas's one for 10.6.2?
