tekkenaddict
HI, I try to install snow leopard 10.6.0 on GA-945GCM-S2C. Is there any guide for it? Anyone has success installing it? Thanks! Hi, I am also looking for a specific guide for my motherboard: GA-945GCM-S2L. I have no luck following lifehacker's guide (no hacking require, so it says). check it out here. I followed everything in the instruction but the installation got stuck right after the Apple logo screen. After the logo screen, it followed by a light blue screen, where it stuck there forever. I hope there is someone who is willing to share how they are able to install Snow Leopard on this mobo with us. dkorle
Try the most recent distribution of SnowOSX (v. 3.6). It worked flawlessly for me. The only thing that didn't work was the on-board audio, but I've got a USB audio device that suits my purposes. Everything else works fine. LanceMish
hi Aikinai, I follow your guide with total success for 10.6.2. But sound stopped working once upgrade to 10.6.3. Do you have any idea how to make the ALC662.kext works for 10.6.3? MaLd0n
run on terminal sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x85\x08\xec\x10|\x62\x06\xec\x10|g' /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleHDA DSDT Auto-Patcher http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=235523 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/200807-any-guide-for-ga-945gcm-s2c/#findComment-1592626 Share on other sites
crazyJAT
Worked. Thanks for the help. I did see that in the post above, but did not have ALC662.kext in /E/E when I first tested. With this in place and the DSDT edit for HDEF and the binary patch for AppleHDA.kext all is right with the world again.
