Ok so here's my problem. I have been running OSX 10.5.2 (Kalyway) on my dell xps 710. It runs beautiful!! dual monitors qe/ci the works :) . but i recently got a laptop too, on my laptop i was able to get the vanilla kernel to boot, on my desktop i use the sleep kernel. After using vanilla i dont want to go back to sleep, with vanilla i can update, and run ALL of my programs flawlessly. But when i try to boot vanilla on my desktop the computer immediately reboots. I have tired (-v -x -s cpus=1) i even tried to use rebel efi (which i really didn't want to use, i prefer chameleon but i was out of blank Cd's). can anybody help me? after getting Leopard running on my laptop with vanilla and seeing how well it runs i really dont want to go back to windows on my desktop(its sad, i have windows 7 and would still rather run a hacked copy of osx...i think that says something about Micro$oft)If i had the money to buy a macPro i would throw my XPS under a train... ;)

Specs:

Dell XPS 710 (btw, it took me a while to figure this out but, XPS710 is the name of the mobo.)

Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz

3 GB DDR2 667MHZ

nVidia GeForce 7900GS

(using NvInject GO "I dont know why i have to use the "GO" kext when its a desktop, but its the only one that works. and it works great so i really dont question it.)
