Installing on xfx mobo

Now using LEO4ALL as it passes the "waiting for root device" issue

 

Setup:

1 HDD : SATA Western Digital Caviar Black 1tb (no volumes)

1 DVD : Super Blu Bluray Drive (SATA)

2 x 1GB OCZ Low Latency Ram (800mhz)

Core 2 Duo E6700 cpu with virtualization disabled

XFX nForce 680i SLI LT motherboard

 

I will attempt to format my main hard drive as Journaled filesystem using another computer or some kind of bootable cd.

 

It crashes with a kernel panic each run at this point shortly after starting the bootup from the installation disc (occurs with safe mode as well as without).

 

Edit: Since following the nForce setup guide I have managed to pass the kernel panic.

Now, there is a random freeze that can occur anywhere between starting to load kext files to right before seeing the first OSX setup page. I have tried safe boot as well as safe video and forced loading of all drivers. I am looking for any input at all as to why this sort of thing would keep happening.
