MrSlave
Hey there. For the past week I have been fooling around seeing if I can turn my computer into a Hackintosh. In Windows, I'm fairly adept at figuring out things... but this has me completely and utterly confused. For the past week, the furthest I've gotten in the installation process is the multilingual message of "You must restart you computer now," directly after coming out of the DVD caches its files onto the drive Here's what I'm working with: MSI P6N SLI Platinum Motherboard - nForce 650i chipset Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 Processor @ 2.13GHz (SSE3) 3GBytes of Kingston RAM NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT 1 500GByte SATA HDD Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD (Unaltered .iso) I have read multiple guides with the same chipset as my rig but to no hint of success, so maybe at this point I've just completely overlooked something very basic. I did not need to alter the .iso or add any files to the DVD in order for it to boot successfully did I? I just got the courage to flash my BIOS down to v1.3 (6/18/07) what the OSx86 Wiki says is the most compatible version to install 10.5. I am about to go edit BIOS settings according to the spreadsheet provided by verant in his nForce Pre 7 Chipset Series thread and will post again with the results. But basically, the point I consistently get to in the setup process is this error. Any advice you have that can move me past this panic and into the actual setup process is greatly appreciated.
