zhangxnwc
I'm having problem shutting down or rebooting my Inspiron 1520 (the only flaw from being perfect). Every time I shut down or reboot, the power led keeps on and I have to press power for 6 seconds to shut down. I tried OpenHaltRestart and another AppleACPIPlatform but neither worked. Sleep was fixed by the enabler. I am using AppleHDAPatch for my Sigmatel STAC9205, NVInject for GF8600M, a modded ApplePS2Controller and my WLAN adapter is BCM94321MC which use built in drivers. The kernel is Darwin 9.8.0(I think so.) Can anyone provide a solution? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/200502-ideneb-v16-1058-shutdownreboot-cpu-halt/ Share on other sites
Lord_Jeremy
Boot into verbose mode and then shut down. You should get a report of what the system is doing during the shut down. Look for anything out of the ordinary. For instance, I seem to remember that some wireless kexts (dunno if it applies to your system) prevent shutdown because they don't deactivate/unload properly.
