hello,

 

first post, first question. have googled for almost 2 days and am still stuck considering that topic. hope you guys dont mind me bothering you with this question but how do i get sleep to work with my motherboard (gigabyte ep35-ds3 rev2) on OS X 10.6?

 

i'd really appreciate your help since i am a beginner to that hackintosh-stuff and seriously couldnt fix the prob myself. if more information is needed regarding my system/software specs, please let me know. i hope its just a matter of using the right kext.. but anything i find relating to that topic are older posts :)

Have you done any work with your dsdt.aml file?

 

My board is a cousin of yours - I have the GA-EP45-UD3L. Here is a guide that shows how I got sleep working perfectly on mine...

 

More DSDT and Sleep for the GA-EP45-UD3L and Similar Boards

 

It takes some patience, and being careful.

 

When I started looking at the first guide about dsdt setups, I knew nothing. After a few hours, it made sense. Make sure you make backups of your known-good files. Good luck.
