posermobile89 Posted December 1, 2009 Share Posted December 1, 2009 Yes, I have been trying to get IPC osx86 10.5.6 to install on my dell inspiron 518 specs: 2GB raM intel core 2 duo 2.53 ghz ati radeon 2400 pcie (i can post more specs if needed) I go through a succesful install (although i dont know what chipset to use...if someone could direct me on this it would be appreciated), and when i boot into mac, it looks like its working fine then i get a blac screen and my monitor loses input. ive booted with -v -f and i got a firewire error then still waiting for root disk. posermobile89 Posted December 2, 2009 Author Share Posted December 2, 2009 I reinstalled everything again, this time with windows 7 first,then mac osx. I booted the first time with the bootoptions -v -f and gotno errors. It then loaded a greyish screen which immediately faded to black. posermobile89 Posted December 3, 2009 Author Share Posted December 3, 2009 Alright, just to update everyone, i got it installed and working (as im currently positng from within ipc ) by not installing the ati radeon 2400 kext (no video kext was used). But i do have another problem. I managed to change the resolution by adding <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920*1200*32</string> to com.apple.Boot.plist. my problem is, that my reoslution is set to 1600*1200 and not 1920*1200. is there a max resolution im not aware of or something?
