Hi all,

first sorry for my english. I tried many virtualization softwares on my new sl installation but my virtual machines do not work. Same machines are working under previous 10.5.8 installation, this is the actually situation:

1. Fusion: can't run virtual machine, very slow loading then nothing happened. Changed disk controller to ide by editing wmx file but nothin'. Can't install new virtual machine (same problem), with 3 different OS.

2. Parallels: can't convert previous virtual machine (fusion), can't run manually, can't install any new virtual machine (same, as point 1)

3. Virtual Box: both virtual machines (win 7 & xp) works with a different disk controller (ide ich), but virtual box has no WDDM driver and I can't enable aero then I can't plug any usb or use any virtual network card (in my machines, of course)

is it possible I have a wrong SL configuration? My ideas:

1. QE: someone on this forum told me verify if QE are enabled on my system, I tried widgets effects, play HD movie and other. All fine, QE should are enabled

2. 64Bit: I forced 32b boot...nothin...it's the same

Last two solutions: disk controller, graphic card (is very strange that only virtualization software that works is only vs without WDDM capability).

Any ideas? There are NO posts in THE WORLD about this...if I write in (tremendous) english...I'm very desperate...

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Let's first try this:

See if you have still enabled VT (virtualization tehnology) and DEP or NX bit in bios? It's quite possible that your bios has loaded default settings (maybe because of power outage).

Try this and tell what happened...

Cheers
