aberracus
Don't think so without veray heavy tech work, the processor in the mac mini is socket and in the macbook is soldered... elektricity
Yep it will work, but you will loose the slight benefit of paired ram Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/20042-macbook-processor-change/#findComment-133086 Share on other sites
gwprod12
People choose the mac mini because they dont want to invest $2000 in a mac laptop. MacBook/MacBook Pro == Orange Mac Mini == Strawberry Now, dont be comparing Strawberries to Oranges! MacBook/MacBook Pro == Orange Mac Mini == Strawberry Now, dont be comparing Strawberries to Oranges! i think macbook ir worth those extra ~30% of money for LCD, keyboard, touchpad and portability, acutally i thought of buying mac mini, though above listed features made my choice (with mac mini in hands you still need to buy keyboard - yes, `couse here macKeyboard costs about 90$, mouse and monitor), even though i don't need much portability but it's nice anyways i would mostly use it as dektop computer. imho macbook and mac mini are quite the same. gwprod12
The cost of ownership on a mini is the same as a macbook, for the most part. But a macbook is portable.
