I've been trying to install iDeneb 1.4 on my secondary HDD (ide disk) encountering -I suppose- Kernel problems (when booting on the assigned hdd I only got a grey screen with a dark apple in the center of it) So I decided to try with iDeneb 1.5, that doesn't even need the satas to be set as ahci, but has a colossal problem: disk utility won't find the hdd I want to put it into, and that's surprising because it's an ide disk (pata). I'm asking myself why forums exist! Is my question too basic? When I find people on photography forum asking for things which even a kid shooting pictures with his mom's mobile phone is supposed to know I always try to be as gentle and precise I can to answer him and help him. Is my question the 100th time that a similar question is repeated? Very good..the moderator in this case is supposed to notify me the thing and redirect me to the previous topics! teonikon Posted December 1, 2009 Author Share Posted December 1, 2009 Using bad tones or attitudes is never a good thing, even if determinated by the frustration of writing posts asking gently and desperately for help and being ignored as a cast away hoping a jet liner pilot to see his little fire on the beach... anyway I officially apologise for my behaviour! Talking about the topic, here's the last line of my verbose attempt to boot iDeneb 1.4 correctly installed(which I obviously done before writing on this and other forums) using 15720 buffer headers and 4096 cluster I0 buffer headers I'd like to say that I'd prefer to solve the problems detemining iDeneb 1.5's disk utility to not see my secondary HDD than make the 1.4 work properly..
