Hello everybody!

I got some troubles with my Gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2L Board using iPC OS X 10.5.6. The System Profiler isn't able to see any installed PCI device, because it doesn't show my Realtek RTL8185 PCI WiFi Card.

I've installed the 9.6.0 Voodoo Kernel, graphic card drivers, ICHx SATA drivers, sound drivers, SMBIOS File and a patched bootloader.

lcpci shows the card, but i've tried lots of patched iopcifamily.kext but none of them worked. And by the way, if I install a "wrong" IOPCIFamily.kext the system is completely crashing, and I can't even access singleuser mode, because it's always showing "Could not load AppleACPIPCI.kext blablabla" and at this point it stops booting, so I even't can't erase it.

The patched IOPCIFamily.kext from the iPC DVD does not work :)

do you know any solution?

thanks

It shouldnt show you it in System Profiler. Drivers from Realtek homepage tried? Tiger Version.

Yep, I've tried them, but the Realtek Logo keeps jumping in the dock for about a minute and then it stops jumping, but it seems like it's not active (because the dot under the icon isn't there and nothing happens if I click on the Realtek Icon)

Kext´s get loaded?

Well I've just looked in the System Profiler (Software -> Extensions) and the rtl8185.kext does not show up in there o_O

Stupid question (sorry, I haven't been playing around with OS X x86 for that long time, I had my iBook G4 before :( ) but how do I load this extension now correctly?

Thanks in advantage :P

Edit: Ah just found out on myself :D Kextload in terminal and then the path to the kext.

But it says "extension /System/Library/Extensions/rtl8185.kext/ does not contain code for this architecture" - So is there no way to get this card to work?
