willbaker602
I've successfully installed OS X 10.5.7 iDeneb on an external 250GB drive and have been trying for nearly a week now (pretty much nonstop as I'm on break at the moment) to install Snow Leopard 10.6 onto my internal 500GB drive. I've installed Snow Leopard onto my internal drive via opening OSInstall.mpkg on the DVD through OS X 10.5.7 (\Mac OS X Install DVD\System\Installation\Packages\OSInstall.mpkg). I cannot get Snow Leopard to boot. I've added the chocolate kernel, copied my existing Extra folder on OS X 10.5.7 to the Snow Leopard disk, tried replacing the com.apple.boot files in Extra and a number of other things. I've eventually gotten to where it will display all the kexts through -v and Boot132 but it still hangs at "Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform" and "Failed to load extension com.psystar.driver.OpenHaltRestart" and this causes a kernel panic and I cannot boot. Any help on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated! Thx -Will Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/200132-help-with-kexts/ Share on other sites
