I've got FW400 working fine off of the Gigabyte EP45-UD3P but would like to get back to chaining my externals off of FW800 again. Having recently fried the mobo by attempting to link the HackPro to my iMac via Firewire 400, I'm hesitant to mess around too much (it worked, but the mobo died within a minute and had to be replaced).
