I installed the Mac OS with iPC 10.5.6. The install went fine but I was ont able to get the sound to work properly or the Internet to work as well. This may be due to improper drivers being installed (I'm not sure)

My Specs (eMachine T5226):

Intel Pentium D CPU 3.00GHZ*

Intel 82801G Ultra ATA Storage Controllers*

Intel Pro/100ve Network Connection(Proper Driver Installed?)

Radeon X1900(Proper driver Installed)

Creative SB Audigy*

* means that I did not install drivers because I didn't know which driver was the appropriate one.

For the audio issue, I did not install any driver because I didn't know which was appropriate. That has to be the problem. Does anyone know what driver I should use?

For the Lan/ethernet/Internet issue, I installed the Intel Pro/100ve driver but the Mac OS still can't connect to the internet. I don't think that I reconizes that the cable is even there.

I also installed the Voodoo Kernal and all of the application that came with the install. Please help me with any of the issues stated above if you can.

Thanks!!

In System preferences--Network, is the network showing up, if it is, is that what it saying (no cable connected)

There is no network showing up. All that is there is a phone modem. I was trying to see if I could add the network, but I can't.

Thanks. I am new to all of this so I didn't really know what to search. I have tried everything on the second link and I still wasn't able to get the lan connection to show up in the network connections panel. Any other suggestions?
