Guys your expertise would be much appreciated. Ive been trying to install kalyway on my pc and i'm unable to boot into it after ive installed the os into an empty hard disk. I partitioned the hard drive using mbr and os x extended. i messed around with the custom installation feature by ignoring what i don't need for install(i didn't touch the mbr bootloader though). I installed the os successfully multiple times but i always end up with the same problem, the os wont load. the hard drive starts loading darwin and then my system restarts itself and the process repeats itself. I know my bios settings are all setup correctly i.e executable disable bit, etc.. i dont understand why my hard drive wont load kalyway.

Im running as Asus p7 mobo(p55 chipset)

core i5

wd 320 gb hard drive

nvidia 275 gtx video card.

is the hardware an issue or can i get by with generic drives for the video card?

Id appreciate any help or advice. thanks.

Huh. I *think* you have to use a custom kernel with a Core i5. I don't know what your distro disk has but you might try Voodoo 9.7.0 or 9.5.0. If I remember correctly, the repeated restarting is caused by using an Apple kernel with incompatible hardware.
