Ommid
I have got Kalyway Leopard running on my PC, with the wrong resolution but still usable I am really struggling to get Snow Leopard onto the machine, I think it may be the video card (4670) Any advice? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199799-struggling-with-the-asus-p5e/ Share on other sites

Is this a desktop, laptop? you don't say. stream43
to my knowledge the 4670 is not supported yet and probably will never be. the new iMac contains a mobile version of this card so the available drivers wont fit for the pcie version of it. ive got the same card and ordered a 4870 after several evenings of reading Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199799-struggling-with-the-asus-p5e/#findComment-1344397 Share on other sites

Anyway you have the option of installing a compatible card if you can't get it to work Another thing IMHO 2 gig of ram is minimum for Snow Thanks Stream there is his answer, needs another video card Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199799-struggling-with-the-asus-p5e/#findComment-1344398 Share on other sites

Other options I have is to revert to my old Radeon X600 which is really old now. By mixed comments I meant most people have had it working with Leopard Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199799-struggling-with-the-asus-p5e/#findComment-1344421 Share on other sites

stream43
Just searched here, there wasn't many hits at all. There is a definitive statement of the maintainer of those patched drivers, there are no other drivers available, ought be enough info. However, what about some more info? Just start OSX in verbose mode and give us some error messages, without i doubt anyone can help you. Have you already tried starting in safe mode?
