Amilo v3205 (si1520) - Grey screen

I tried Empire EFI and a lot of build of boot-132 but I always get a grey screen. I understand that is a known problem and that it can be fixed using GMA900 pakage.

 

My notebook is an Amilo v3205 (si1520 is indentically) and this the lspci output:

it doesn't have the vga port so I can't use the two wire trick. Connecting an external monitor won't resolve the issue.

didnt try it myself yet, but I asked another si1520 owner about the install procedure. here's his answer:

- Vanilla Kernel

- The box below (name forgotten

- All audio drivers (it is said, one should choose only one, but choose all anyways)

- The "mbr" button (the last of the two buttons)

- GMA950 graphics card (!!!!!)

- audio driver (I forgot but you have acXX drivers)

---

 

this applies to Kalyway 10.5.2 Dvd image.
