Mister Lola
Hello, there. Because of many requests on how to install leopard on hp 6720s, i will post this guide. Hope it helps! I installed it on an external drive. First. download iAtkos v7 insert cd and boot from it (no flags necessary) when installation loads, Utilities->disk utility and reformat your external disk. If by some chance you can't see it, shut down computer (leave disc in usb port) and then fire it up again. "Customize" selection: (All mentioned below needs to be selected) Bootloader: Chameleon v2 (already selected) X86 patches: extra directory DSDT Decrypters ->AppleDecrypt Kernel: 9.5.0 Voodoo Disabler Drivers: VGA->GMAX3100->GMAX3100 System->SATA/IDE->Intel SATA/IDE System->Intel Speedstep -> speedstep driver System -> Cardbus driver System -> USB System -> Sound -> Voodoo HDA driver System -> PS/2 mouse keyboard -> Voodoo PS2 with trackpad plugin System -> Laptop battery System -> NTFS (optional) System -> Network -> Wired -> Intel -> Intel Gigabit (don't know if it works) System -> Network -> Wireless -> broadcom 43xx Then after 20 minutes, reboot and enjoy. There is problem with standby. But it's enough to get you started. Same procedure should work on partitioned drive, but first install windows, then mac (by my own experience). pdave54
Good post, you should submit it as a guide Re ""Same procedure should work on partitioned drive, but first install windows, then mac."" Not sure about this. Most threads I have been reading say partition GUID, install Mac fist, then Windows Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199651-how-toinstall-iatkos-v7-on-hp-6720s/#findComment-1343304 Share on other sites
Mister Lola
First, I have installed windows 7 (made partitions in installation). After that, i started iatkos v7 installation and with disk utility partitioned designated partition as mac OSx Journaled. Chamelleon v2 supports master boot record, so you can use him as loader. And yes, you can install Mac first and then windows. It will also work, my bad. Please let me know how to install iATKOS_v7 or anything else after that. right now, i have only single HDD and i can format that completely to install mac on it. Right now i have two partitions 65 GB (Windows 7) , 29 GB Free empty both are NTFS. thanks, Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199651-how-toinstall-iatkos-v7-on-hp-6720s/#findComment-1488080 Share on other sites
