hey guys,

i have installed 10.5.8 yesterday on my eeePC 1000h, all went good, but my battery icon is missing.

i have installed voodoobattery.kext and voodoopower.kext, but nothing changed.

another problem is that i cant dim the backlight of the screen... (had the FN+DIM, running OK before on Leo :/)

maybe some of you can help me a bit, would be very nice.

doesnt have that option too,

i just searched my /system/library/extensions folder for "power" and i got no powermanagement.bundle i think i got this before or something like that. i just got the appleCPUpowermanagement.kext but nothing more. could it be that this causes my problem??

Wait so you dont have the energy saver?

i have these options... but there is nothing with a battery because it isnt recognized as a battery i think.. i have a kext or bundle missing but dunno what it is actually..

Good luck mate, when i installed mac. It was simple as possible. The dvd i installed from had alll the drivers pre installed. so yea. boot from cd and it was already optimised... Sorry mate. Ask around the eee users

that is what wanted to do -_-

could anybody send me a dsdt.aml which works for your eeepc 1000h on 10.5.8

would be great, think the dsdt is the problem :P

Have u found the solution yet? I did the 10.5.8 on my eeepc1000h. With my initial setup i got the Fn F5 and F6 to work for brightness but I too can't display the battery icon. Also another thing i cant get to work is the sleep mode. it can go into sleep mode with no problem but when i hit a key to get back up...it runs but its all black...no display. so for now...when i don't use the netbook, i shutdown. lil nuisance but in time i think i might go nuts. oh and i think my mic doesnt work either. my friend had sent me a link to get it working but i havent tried it yet.

hope to hear from you soon.

i just found this...havent tried it yet but will try soon.
