the one without initials is the MAC OSX partition.

PROBLEMS:

1) the sound card is not working

2) the ethernet/wireless is not working

3) the keyboard (laptop) is not working

4) the touchpad is not working (but my USB mouse is)

5) MAC OS Extended (Journaled) doesnt show up in My Computer when i'm in Windows

problem 5 is causing me to unable to do any changes in attempt to solve problems 1-4...

and,

regarding the problems, i've tried using kext, by placing it in the extensions folder.

however, it doesnt mean to work. and IOUSBFamily.kext caused my USB to not even work, so i had to re-install MAC OSX.

other kext like ApplePS2Controller.kext, etc, doesnt work.

either i did it wrongly, or something is really wrong.

please help! thank you! any help is much appreciated!

p/s: i've already searched this forum, other forums, and googled, but no solutions found.

you have not told us what the sound chipset

Ditto ethernet/video card

keyboard is probably a ps2 fix

touchpad don't know but maybe ps2

In windows you need a program like mac drive to see mac volumes

i've tried the ApplePS2Controller.kext fix, but to no avail...

and also the nForceEthernetController.kext fix..

touchpad is not that important cos i always have my mouse with me..

as regarding the macdrive, even macdrive cant detect that i have a mac osx partition..

the partition doesnt even show up in My Computer..

ok have to clarify something . you say sound etc is not working, and because you can not see the hack/mac drive from windows you can not fix them. You can boot into os x because you re=installed it , so why can't you fix it within os x

cos i tried to fix it in OSX, then the USB Drives got corrupted, leaving even my USB keyboard and mouse not working..

which if happens again, i will need to reformat, and install OSX and install Windows 7 again.

Thats the way it is, lots of people do lots of reinstalls before they get everything working. back up your windows somewhere first would be a good idea

yes i know, but first, i have to know what are the correct fixes..

cos if i just keep trying the same fixes, no way i'm getting different results

yups

so now i'm trying to find the right fixes, then carry on fixing it (:

Sorry I can't give you all the fixes. It will take research. Have you tried looking in the Tutorials (Genius Bar). I always look there first.

And I would concentrate on one fix at a time & of course back up after each step
