etstanger
I successfully installed 10.5.7 on my PC, erased SATA hard drive completely. The chameleon screen shows up and then is stuck on the 'mirror' apple logo. I'm a n00b at this but I've looked everywhere. I just did a base install, no fixes of any sort. Is it the same error for all the distro-s you have tried Did you find this ""These buffer headers and cluster IO buffer headers "errors" can apparently be caused by a "bad bios" requiring a modified kernel ( or a modified BIOS), or by mismatched ACPI and APIC versions..... The fact that you are getting similar errors with different OSx86 distros may suggest a "bad bios" Try booting with "-v platform=ACPI|86PC" without quotes Also try the "bad bios" version of iATKOSv1.0ir3 found here...... huesotravieso
Hi all, Etstanger although I different HW I have exactely the same problem. pdave54, thanks for the info. I was thinking of a BIOS issue, but your posts confirms it. Now I have a troubleshooting direction to follow. I'll look around to gather some information, but in the meanwhile if anyone has some relevant information/advice/comment, it's apreciated. Thanks to everyone!
