I am trying to install OSX86 using iATKOS V7. These are the instructions I am trying to follow :

  1. prepare a bootable disc/disk which have partition manager tool (Gparted, Hiren's BootCD, miniPE,...)
  2. create Primary Partitions (don't use Logical) for your OSs (NTFS for Win & FAT32 for OSX)

  3. Set Active Vista/Win7 partition
  4. install Vista/Win7
  5. Set Active OSX (FAT32) partition
  6. boot with OSx86 Install DVD (iATKOS), open Tools > Disk Utility and erase FAT32 become "Mac OS Extended (Journalled)" with volume label WITHOUT space character.
  7. install OSX to that HFS+ partition.
You may select Chameleon2 bootloader on custom install, you'll love it icon_smile.gif
    Code:
  8. Yup, Vista/Win7 boot record will be ruined. You wont able to boot Vista/Win7

  9. Set Active Vista/Win7 partition
  10. boot with Vista/Win7 Install DVD, choose "Repair your computer" option.
startup problem will be auto-detected and prompt you to repair & reboot.

  11. Set Active OSX partition again.

I have partitioned my disk as an NTFS which has Win7 and a FAT32 to house the OSX86. I made the Fat32 partition active using Disk Management and booted from the iATKOS disk. Installation shows no disk mounted. Disk utility shows the HDD and the two partitions as being not mounted. Trying to erase the FAT32 into HFS is not allowed saying Memory cannot be allocated. I have previously come across the same problem and then I installed only OSX86 using this disk by clean sweeping my entire partition table. But I need to dual boot now and hence followed instructions for dual boot prep.

Any help in solving this would be greatly appreciated.
