stoian
Dear friends, Just want to say that I value your time and I am only venturing this post after a week of studying forum options and trying solutions. I have a perfectly working 10.5.8 /installed via Combo update from XxX 10.5.6. Problems is system cannot recognize USB and firewire disks when inserted /hot mount/ and I have to restart for it to discover it. After restart all is well if the disk was inserted at boot time. I have no other DMG issues /downloads, mounting all well, no kernel panics.../, version of seatbelt is correct (9.8.0 - 10.5.8) and I have tried the Lingon solution for FW without success My specs are Gigabyte 965P-S3 bios ver 14A 8 GB RAM DDR2 800 Adata CPU E6400 - OC to 3.12 Ghz Nvidia 7300 GT /256 Mb 1x1TB and 2 x 750 GB SATA drives Generic IEE1394 b PCI card which uses TI chipset/controller and used to work in 10.5.7. Boot manager is Chameleon 2 RC3 , I also dusl boot win 7 and have Parallels installed inside 5.8. as VM manager. I know this is small issue but I use a lot of flash cards for photography and data storage and it is quite annoying to have restarts every so often. Would be much obliged if anyone can help me with that.
